Windows Explorer is the tool you use when you open My Computer or My Network Places. Windows Explorer is tightly integrated with Internet Explorer and the transition from a local location is often seamless with a network location.
Opening an FTP site is simple with Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer (the procedure is exactly the same).
Open Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer:
Now to type in the address of the FTP server. We are using FTP instead of HTTP, so you will need to type in ftp://nameofserver
Here you only see what is hosted to the public. To login and view this FTP site in Windows Explorer, click Page, and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer.
To Login As" you now need to type in your login name and password and now you may click and drag files between your computer and the remote filespace.
